Lorelai broke her arm

Friday night before Trick or Treating, Lorelai fell and started crying. Usually when she falls she just shakes it off, she’s pretty tough, but this time she cried pretty hard. I asked her is she could move her fingers and wrist and she could, so I laid her down on the couch and told her to take it easy. She complained it hurt a few more times, but nothing too bad. We went out Trick or Treating and she was fine, didn’t complain once. The next morning she said it still hurt, so we took her to the emergency room in Enterprise and sure enough, she had fractured her radius and ulna. They wrapped her up in a splint (she faught tooth and nail- literally scratching and biting trying to get it off). I felt so awful seeing her little bones on the x-ray all crumpled up. I’m just thankful she doesn’t seem to be in a lot of pain.

Anyway, we took her in today to get her cast. She did a lot better this time. Here are some pictures of her “new arm.”

Halloween!

Lorelai has been saying “Trick or Treat!” for weeks now.  She knew she was going to be a bumblebee and told anyone who would listen.  She was so excited and had a great time.  I am so proud of her, she was such a good girl and the only kid I heard say “please” and “thank you.”  We were in a hurry to leave the house and I forgot the camera (I know!  What was I thinking?!) but I did get these cute shots when we got back:

Big thanks to Nani for making this costume. Lorelai LOVED it, she did not want to take it off tonight. She got a ton of compliments and extra candy for being “so cute.”
