PIGTAILS!

Lorelai’s hair is finally long enough to put in pigtails AND she’ll sit still and actually let me do it! She asks for them every day.

Amber

I bought each of the kids an amber necklace. Amber releases natural oils that help with pain and I thought it would be good for Griffin’s teething. I knew if I bought one for Griffin I would have to buy one for Lorelai. She loves it and wears it every day.

Nani’s creation

Nani made the kids some really cute fleece overalls for Alaska. I had to try them on to make sure they fit and Lorelai didn’t want to take them off! She looked like a model for a 1976 JCPenney’s catalog.

Cookies!

About once a month or so I plan something fun to bake with Lorelai. This month it was chocolate chip cookies and we enjoyed every part! Mixing was a blast, licking the beaters was fun, but eating the finished product was Lola’s favorite part.

Learning to fish

As most of you probably know, Eric is a big fisherman. I think he’s been waiting for the day he could teach his kids to fish for a long time, and while he would’ve prefered it to be on a nice lake, our backyard had to do after Lorelai found my Barbie fishing pole.

Lorelai reading

Lorelai got the Your Baby Can Read set for Christmas. Here she is reading.
Reading words

I constantly shuffle the cards and put them in different order, so she’s actually recognizing the words! Very cool.
